Need a 67-72 trailing arm rear end housing. Internals unimportant. I don't need axles or anything, JUST the housing. I want to sandblast it, paint it and fill it with my own internals. I'm in the north-central part of Kentucky.

I have a '72 rear end in it now. I thought all the 67-72 1/2 ton were the same width. I will be reusing the axles from my rear end unless the one I get has 5 lug axles and is a different width than mine.

I suspected that was the case--there are at least two, perhaps three widths? If you have a '72 rear now?, you need a '71 or '72 which are 5-lug. Also, is it a coil or leaf spring rear?

70 modles are 1/2 wider that 67-69 and 71-72 Its one of those one year things GM is good for.

Mine measures 65 inches between the backs of the wheels (mounting surfaces). The torque thrust II's make it easy to measure! I could go a little narrower but not any wider. I already had to roll my fender lips in.
