Should i go with a 700r4 or stick with my 400?

i am going to be driving my truck daily, currently it has a turbo 400 trans, would it be wise to get rid of the 400 and get a 700r4? i have a 3.08 rear by the way.i do alot of highway driving, and i thought overdrive would be nice to have.

Keep what you have. The overdrive coupled with the gear ratio you already have would keep the engine turning too slow at highway speed for good economy and efficiency.

A 3.08 is fine for highway without needing the overdrive too.

Yep, what Kevin said. Also, you could add 30 horses to the rearend by switching to a TH350. It takes 30 more horses to turn a TH400 than a TH350.
