Help on factory volt meter.
I have a 74 model chevy truck and the voltmeter is not working. Do i need to connect something special to make it work.
I don't know if it matters, but i have switched to a 120 amp alt. |

In a 74 truck you have an Ampmeter, not a voltmeter if it's stock. The larger alternator could have melted the trace on the back of the instrument cluster. I've seen this on trucks that had stock alternators. That's where I'd start.
