Rad Support Bushing

Can anyone tell me how thick the stock rad support bushing is I need to know for mock up purposes.

I just went and measured a new GM one in the package for you. It's 13/16 inch thick. That's the main part of it. There is a raised lip around where the bolt passes through it, but that lip sits down into the hole in the frame, so it doesn't contribute any height.

Be careful what year are you building ? 67-68 and 69-72 are diffirent.

72 but my blazer has 72 bushings with no ill effects

I have been getting mixed messages about the bushings, some say they have used the 69-72 bushings on 67-68's with no problem while others say use only 67-68 bushings on 67-68's. I believe that LMC only sells the 69-72 type for all applications. What's the deal?????????????

I am interested in the difference too. Is there a difference in height between 67-68 and 69-72?

I am working on a 67 shortfleet, and when I set my cab back on the frame, the tranny is touching the flange of the tunnel on the cab. And I could have sworn that my mocked up bed sat too high bodyline wise, compared to the cab. If the 69-72 bushing are shorter, then that would be my problem.

Sorry I should have been more detailed I should have not posted untill I had enought time to explain. I am using 69-72 Rad support kit with my 67 front clip. I have no problems at all. Bill's Truck shop here in Canada told me that there were 2 diffirent styles. But I had already bought the 69-72 stlye months earlier I just told him the truck was a 72 and he sold me the 69-72 kit. When I saw the 67-68 kit I thought that they were alot thinner.

When I put my truck together the body lines were not in line. To correct the problem I had to shim the box up 1/4" at the front cross sill and 1/8" ant the second cross sill. I also had to shim the cab tro get things to line up. On some trucks they had shims installed from the factory. I have noticed that alot of truck have this problem and I think most guy's dont think much of it. But the lines not flowing just bother the heck out of me.
