Question 50th anniversary panel?

I found a gold and white 68 panel truck behind a local horse-traders house.
He wasnt home, and has a nasty looking rotweiler guarding it? So i didnt get to look at it too close. Did they even make an aniversary panel? How can i tell if it has this option w/o glove box sticker?

Yep, they did. The only thing different than any other truck was the paint and the matching interior. Other than looking to see if they match, I think the only way to know is to look at the sticker. It's the 551 option code. more pics/info

It should have the 551 ivory/gold paint code and the 625 or 626 interior code cloth or vinly. This should be on the glove box sticker or the build sheet. For some reason I thought burbs and panels weren't gold and white, they were just gold???? but not sure?

I think there was some discussion in similar threads by a 50th Burb owner/member (68 Suburban?) that 'burbs and panels would only have white on the roof, and no lower white below trim. I do believe it was also said that 'burbs had "Fawn" coloured interiors (instead of Parchment) and 50th Panels would likely be same, I think??

So...At what point did you see the Rotweiler? Before, after,or as you were checking the glovebox? If the latter, how long were you trapped in there?

My mistake. I went this morn and talked to him. He said it is a 68 front clip on a 69 or 70. Interestingly though, his brother painted the back half to match the front....
About the mutt,he makes his home where the rearend used to be,....and likes to let you know he lives there when you get about 6 feet from the truck! So needless to say,i wasnt too interested in the glove compartment at that time.....oh well, it cant be bought anyway.

WA is a little too far away to come get a non-running pickup, but do you really have a 50th K20? Do you have any pics to share?

I'm planning on turning my '68 K20 into a 50th clone...

Mine is a true 50th K20, but is a project and for sale. Here is the link on the parts board.

Man I would love to have it Dan, I really would. $800 bucks is a deal for a piece of history. I don't know where I'd store it this Winter if I could get it here. Like ckhd said your a long way to travel for a non-running truck too. I hope someone will give it a good home tho, cause I can't(right now).
