Numbers They don't match do they?
OK numbers guys I need some help. My 71 Blazer that I bought about a month ago seems to not match up. No big deal just want to know what motor actually came from. Glove box option number is 1LS9BE veh id no is KE181S671121. Number of motor is /(not sure what) 0609TBG. According to what I have read in LMC catalog that's a 396 out of a 70 truck not blazer. Am I right? Help me out if you can.

LS9 is the 350 RPO
Your Vin KE181S indicates a 71 4x4 with a V8 So given the info from nastyz28...does yor Blazer have the factory automatic tranny? If so, it's probably the original engine.

Thanks guys for info. I beleive from what I have read here and on the internet since posting I think it is the original engine. I had planned on running it anyway until it gave out. Thanks again.
