Help - trying to locate thread on installing drop springs..

I don't see the back springs being that big of issue but could use some information on the right way to do the front.

Real simple, put jacks under the frame, another under lower A-arm, remove wheel, take the bottom bolt out of the shock absorber, loosen castle nut on lower ball joint(about 3 or 4 threads) and pop the ball joint loose, after it pops, remove the castle nut and then lower the bottom A-arm until the spring drops. Then reverse this procedure for the install. After both sides are done, you creep to the alignment shop.

Or you can support the truck, stick a jack under the lower control arm shafts and unbolt the ubolts holding them on. Lower the jack and pull the spring out. I found this way easier.

Either way, make sure you truck is high enough off of the ground so that you have room for the lower control arm to swing down out of the way so you will have ample room to take the spring out and the new one back in. I made this mistake several year ago when I was just a teenager and what a pain in the butt if you only have one jack to work with.
