TIP! Found 91 burb exc. cond. for $2k Tx

Found this today...wish I had $2,000! 1991 Suburban Silverado 1500, NO.NO..did I say NO rust! No dings! cracked front windsheild, right back barn door window cracked, interior worn but very servicable, ALMOST NEW Bridgestone 235x15 raised white letter tires on Mag wheels. 152,000 miles. PS, PW, Power side mirror, Alum running boards, Cold AC, AM/FM Cassette, Tilt wheel, runs very smooth (did not drive, only cranked and listened). It has been donated to a charitable organization and they are only asking $2000 for it!!!!

Anyone in the Houston area PM me and I will tell you where..don't want to post the phone number as it might be ringing off the hook and get them upset.

Would rather see someone from this board get it than a dealer.

Make sure it has a clean title. I heard somewhere that those charitable organizations have to make the title a "salvage" title, to be able to sell those cars.

Dunno, just a thought and its worth asking, sounds sweet though.

went by today and suburban is still there! I think most people don't realize it is for sale since there is no sign on it, they probably think it is one of the volunteer employees, was told if it is still there Friday they will drop the price, maybe to 1800, title is signed and left blank with a power of attorney to the charity to sell it, I am thinking of going to the bank and see If I could float a loan...the tires and wheels have to be worth $800 by themselves!

checked Kelly blue book and this thing should go on the average car lot for $4500 +, and private party of around $3500...think I might be able to make a grand on this deal easy...does my thinking sound right? Is there a fair demand for 91's? (its only 2wd is tghe major drawback I see).

Tough Sell

Burbs are a tough sell. The have a limited market so my recommendation is to make sure you buy em right. Does this one have the front buckets and 3rd seat and rear air? Those are important options that make Burbs more desirable. I've been dealing on a local one here for 2 months that has the barn doors, 3rd seat, rear heater ( more important than rear air up here), front buckets and 176,000 kms/109,000 miles and the "Bud Wheels" what I call the Bud wheel is the one I got pictured on the Burb page on here. This Burb is mechanically sound and has new tires. The guy was asking 3950 for it in October and I offerd him 3000. He turned me down but called me today to see if I was still intersted . I offerd him 2500 and said "While you were thinkin, I was thinking!!!" Now he is thinking again.................
