Talking Something sound odd in my truck - audio file

Hmm, something sounds very odd - wonder what that sound is?

File is a quicktime - hope that will play for most of you until I convert it to an mpg

Well imagine that! Sounds good! Now get a seat/steering column in that truck and go for a ride! I was able to see you as is.

Could that be the sound of movement coming soon? Sounds like you added a cylinder or 2 to that old 307

I take it from the smile on your face that is the sound of success, at last. Congrats Yukon!!!!!

Yep, success - what a big relief - the 454 has been patiently waiting for about 2 years - hard to believe. A little more to do before it can move under it's own power - need to get the hydraulic clutch on and bleed the brakes. May not wait to drive down the road for the interior.

Sounded OK to me

I think it might be a "loose nut" holding on the steering wheel !

It's nice to see that "I finally got it going" smile. What color is that? It looks similar to mine. Sounds nice.

Good luck with it

The color is based off of a Saturn metallic silver made a little lighter with lots more metallic.

My head still hurts from the open headers but boy does it sound good! I have a feeling when I go feed the dogs, I will be making a stop in the barn.

I felt that way for sure - I was soo worried something was going to be wrong but seems like it is gonna be fine. Hopefully get out tomorrow night and maybe get the replacement hydraulic clutch cylinder installed and work on getting the brakes bled.

I think it is like 6 meg haven't been able to try to convert it to a smaller foramt yet.

Sure wish cameras could capture sound better. Funny how often I'm finding an excuse to run out to the barn - have to fire it up each time. This chilly morning one pump of the throttle and two bumps of the starter and she fired right up - the poor 307 took a creative approach to get it to fire up in chilly weather - I think I'm gonna get used to this real quick.
