Roll-on Bedliners?

I will try this topic in this forum. I ran across this stuff that JCWhitney sells, Herculiner, anybody used it and satisfied with the results? Or perhaps can anybody recommed another ROLL-ON bedliner?

If you are going to do it strictly for cosmetics its not bad.
If you actually want to be able to throw stuff on it you better get the real thing.
I used the spray in kind, dupli-color brand and it looks ok, but isnt very thick.
The roll on kinds are thicker and stronger, bot nothing even close to the real spray in liners.
I know many who have done both ways and all agree the the real thing is better all around.
Both will fade in the sunlight.

The spray in that I used was in spray cans, so you cant expect too much out of them. I prep'd it well and spray in twice the recommended amount and its still thin and scratches easy. It does look pretty good though. When I did this it was because I had a plastic liner that didnt fit well and I was afraid of rust in the bed. I pulled the liner and everything looked pretty clean, so I decided to do a quick cheap spray in for now. Here is the only picture I can find that shows the bed liner.

Yea, mine will be for cosmetic purposes. I never got the inside of my bed color matched because of the price of the candyapple and because I was hauling stuff so I left it primered. I just want to kind of finish it off so that it looks good. It does not haul much these days.

Yours does look nice but I want to stay away from the spray stuff.

Yeah I wouldnt recommend the spray in a can type like this.

Its hard to tell in pictures, but the problem with the roll on type is the texture doesnt look too consistant.

There is a do it yourself spray in liner that required a paint gun.
I havent seen one done this way so I dont know how that works.
But I know the can doesnt have enough to do one truck bed.

My son has a kit (Herculiner) that he bought from Autozone and gave like $120.00 for it. He would probably sell it to you for half that. He sold the pickup he was going to put it in and bought one with a wood bed and doesn't need it. He also bought an extra can with the kit so there would be enough to do a full side bed. I did a roll in liner in my truck and If I was hauling more than groceries and a stroller I would probably do it again so it was thicker. But it also costs a third of what it would cost if you took it to a rhinoliner dealer to do. I did mine just so the paint wouldn't scratch and then rust. For your application the roll in one should be fine.

do y'all think the roll-on stuff would work ok for a blazer (fiberglass) top...i plan to paint it in the spring, but not sure what i should use

no, i'm painting the outside...the black is faded and has been scratched from tree branches in a few spots...its says for camper shells and boats so i assume its safe for fiberglass
