Just get the parts and make your own. Maybe you can make up a better design that slammed. It can't be THAT hard. If he put a lot of time a effort into designing it, he may not want to give out the specifics. This way his is more custom then the other guy who just buys off the shelf bolt ons and then calls it custom. Make yours motorized, that would be cool.

Thought about putting a dvd headunit behind mine, but In order for it to clear the faceplate, I would have to set it back a ways into the dash and the screen doesnt look like it would clear the dash pad when it was flipped up. I would like to motorize and remote the whole thing though!

That is an excellent mod. I've thought about the same thing myself. I just installed the ashtray cup holders but if I do a flip down radio delete, I won't be able to use the cup holders at the same time.

Get a delete plate and go to the wreckers and grab some hinges from centre consoles or glovebox doors also look at how / what striker plates are keeping the door / consloe closed and grab them also and go from there, I don't think it would be hard at all.

It looks as though one would just have to spot weld/braze the delete plate from the hole in the hinge and clean up the welds... the hard part would be putting a lip to weld it to in the dash under where the radio will go and getting the placement just so...

The hard part is getting the plate to sit flush against the dash when it's in the closed position. Not as easy as you'd think.
