Looking for a gold mine in all the wrong places
Looks like there is more Ford than Chevy in that thing. It is a pretty cool looking vehicle but at $28,500, I think that price is way off the mark. Looking at the condition and all, it might be a mod but that body appears to have alot of imperfections IMHO.
For pete's sake smooth out the body and throw a coat of paint on that thing, or some flat black at least, and then talk to me about such an elevated price (the owner that is). Maybe i'm way off the mark but that's how I sees it. Look at that seat cover for the love of God. It looks like a misplaced poncho!

the misplaced poncho is another period piece. mexican blankets was the hot rodders choice of seat covers. ask dubie, i think hes got one in his truck.
28k isnt unrealistic, since the car fits a popular trend right now im sure it will find a buyer. i think its silly myself. hot rodding was supposed to be inexpensive and homebuilt. |

For those that do, enjoy.

Oh I do get that it's a cool truck. What I don't get is the inflated price. That's the only issue. If you can afford to spend the $28 grand on it, by all means, please do. I would buy it myself in a heartbeat, but not even remotely close to that price. See, I do get it.

What's overinflated to you is cheap or priced right to someone else; it's all relative to how much cash 'ya got.
I can't afford the truck either, but to someone who can and who digs these kind of rods, it's probably priced right. I sold some cool vintage valvecovers on the board a couple of weeks ago for what I feel was the right (overinflated?) price, and I got a couple of PM's from some folks who said I was crazy to be asking that much (don't know if they had the $ or not), but the guys who bought them sure think they were worth the money. Like I said; it's all relative. SC

Please, don't take this post the wrong way. I'm not being pissy or anything I just think that there is a misunderstanding here. This is an open forum to make comments and the such and my intention was not to tick anyone off. All in all, even if I did have the money to piss away, I still wouldn't pay that much for it. But who knows what I would do under the right circumstances.

Kinda cool, but definately not neat enough of a job to be worth 28K. IMHO

it takes skill to build a rat rod that looks good with a bunch of mismatched parts, this guy didnt do it. its cool, weird, retro, sweeeeet, but 28grand, hahahahaha. thats something you build for yourself, not to try to sell for 28000

for the price the body work is horrendous. you shouldnt be able to see the weld marks from pieceing that hunk of sh!t together.i wouldnt give 100 bucks for it and some of the parts on there are worth more than that.

I do like the mini pickup bed. It's useless, but different. Something is wrong with the dimensional asthetics. I can't put my finger on it. The whole rig doesn't flow. Randy's rig flows from one end to the other. And that intake flows, no doubt.
The auction site has way too little info to warrant a serious look by a buyer with big money.
