Stupid Stupid Kids...
Man, there are some dumb kids out there... Read the story in the ebay link below. If that was my motivation I would have been a 4.0 student.
Kid must be a complete dirtbag to not be able to get motivated to get this truck his grandpa built. DUMB KID

That kid will sorely regret his F#$kup... in about 15 years. Eventually he'll work his way up to Asst. Mgr. of some crappy restaurant or another.

OK, that kind of stuff pisses me off. I worked hard and PAID FOR my 67 when I was 15 and I paid for all of parts/materials/paint that she needed. With the help of my awesome dad we did ALL of the work at home. I even did the squirt job. I also paid for ALL gas and 100% of the ridiculous $1200 per year to insure it...its now only $400 per year. This kid was given a chance to have this sweet ride for doing well in school??? I graduated 7th in my class with a 4.0 in high school and got a pat on the back. I just graduated with a 3.2 in Civil Engineering from Clemson University and I got a couple hundred bucks from my graduation party. Kids today.... I'm seriously in shock....

A little off the subject but that an interesting way to do a headliner. I've never seen one done like that.

That guy can give me the truck when I go back to school. Wether or not the truck is involved, I still plan to do well! I just can't believe that kid would pass up on that opportunity.

I am a teacher by profession and unfortunately this grandfather is th exception rather than the norm. I got chewed out by a "parent" a couple of weeks ago for telling their kid that I had a higher expectation for them than being a dish washer in some diner. This is a kid who is smart but is oh so lazy... Not hard to be lazy I guess when the people close to you do not expect much from you... just my .02 Harold

a couple people said in 10 years he'll be sorry. but the sad reality of it is...if the kid isn't doing well in school and it appears that he has help if he needs it (grandpa) then he's prolly in some trouble with drugs and such and prolly in the wrong group....what i'm gettin at, he prolly won't live 10 more years.

I've tried things like that with my own son. Won't even let him get his permit until he pulls his grades up. Kid will be 17 in a few months and still no dice. Thing is he's really into cars and trucks. I have a nice restorable 62 Impala SS just waiting for his grades to go up so we can work on it. I've tried all kinds of things to motivate him. Nothing works, carrot or stick. Last year he was grounded until his grades improved a bit. Took him 3 months to pull his butt out. Kids is plenty smart and his heart is in the right place but he's just plain lazy. Well at least I get to keep my 62!
