FOR SALE: '72 C-10 Project Truck
I've had this truck for a little over a month now. I bought it with the intention of rebuilding it, but as I have come to realize, I've bitten off more than I can handle. I simply don't have all the necessary tools nor the skills to complete it. I don't want to part it out, but if someone has the skills, I believe it would be a great project truck. The worst part on the truck is the cab. The floor and the area over the windshield is rusted out. It is an A/C truck but it does not have the compressor or other AC parts. It originally came with a 402 BB, but the PO put a 327 in it some time back. The motor does run, but smokes a little. I haven't done a compression test, but the motor sounds strong. When I bought it, I drove it from TN back to GA, about 300 miles. I would not recommend that to the buyer of this truck. Too many things wrong, i.e., brakes, wipers, and I now have the bed loose. It will have to be trailered. I took the seat out to assess the rust damage to the floor, but I have it and it's in pretty good shape actually. The bed is solid except for a small area at the front, and a cut out section in the middle where a goose neck ball hitch was mounted. It had to be cut out. Bumpers are now off, but I still have them. To be honest, I don't know what to ask for the truck, so I'll just let you take a look at the photos, ask your questions, and make an offer if you would like to. Thanks for looking.

I forgot to mention that the left rear of the bed was also banged up at one time. Not bad, but it was not repaired very well. It's just a small area right by the left rear tail light. I'm trying to make sure I cover everything that is wrong or bad, but I might miss or forget something, so please don't hesitate to ask me questions. I'll be happy to answer them for you.

Well, I now see you are suppose to post a price on anything for sale. I always did read the instructions last. I am going to ask $1000.00 for the truck. Buyer responsible for picking it up. Will accept cash, postal money orders, or certified bank check. Heck, I'll even accept PayPal.

That's a pretty good looking truck. Lots of cancer inside, but a nice outer body. Good trim & grille. I've never done rust repair around the windshield, so I don't kow what is involved, but that sounds like a good price. If I wasn't knee deep in my '70, I'd be making an excuse to pay middle GA a visit.

Thanks graywolf. Yea, if I wasn't so banged up from a motorcycle accident, I'd probably just keep it and try to fix it myself. It would be a good project to learn on, but I'm probably going to be laid up for a while, so I've decided to let it go and pick up something else later on.
