What did you get done?

With Christmas right around the corner I suppose we should all be finishing up our Christmas shopping. I spent yesterday at a volleybal tournament, and running service calls. Last night I went to a family party.

Today I was worn our from yesterday so I didn't get much of anything done. I went to church then came home and watched Spiderman II with my daughter.

What did you get done....

I "Z-Griped" my entire tailgate after painting it with epoxy primer. I straight line sanded the front and me, my dad, and my cousins attacked the backside. I will be coating it with final primer coats tomorrow!

Friday night was the wife's Christmas party - OPEN BAR!!!!!!
Didn't feel like doin much on Sat. (surprise surprise)
Sunday I had to move a bunch of stuff out of a garage I've been renting for years - it's been sold. By the way, you Canadians can have your air back. It's 10 degrees as I write this! LOL
Also, watched the movie "I, Robot". Not bad, I'd recommend it.

once again, nothing, but our 1974 vega pulled a best run of 15.41, at 88mph, engine has no compression, uncle doesn't know how to build a 350 for crap, but still the fact that the car hasn't been running for 20 years and we got it running in a month and made 3 passes with it, not to shabby.

sat i went and picked up the '80 from the guys house i bought it from after work. sunday i started cleaning a bunch of junk out of the '80 that he had left inside it and in the bed. cleaned the inside of the blazer and then washed the out side of the '84. then we took the '84 out to an empty parking lot and shot some vids doing doughnuts. went back to the shop and messed around with a merkur scorpio (its some weird ford made car imported from germany) that my friend just bought for 500 bucks. its an '88 4 door car thats rwd and independent rear suspension with a v6, none of those things seem like they should be incorparated in the same car but they did for some reason. then played with the welder a bit until it got dark

I brought my Blazer home Friday night. looks funny since it hasn't been in the garage in 2 months. The 87 GTA that was in there is on it's way to Minnesota. Looks like it will be recieving a 625hp big block. Hope they have fun with it.

Tonight, we went to a Christmas party at a friends house. I always drink too much around them, but a good time was had by all anyhow.

umm helped my friend pull motor/tranny/tcase out of his truck.
Went to do a homemade shackle flip on the blazer, get the bracket off and go to cut it with the torch......im out of oxygen.

Today I helped another friend pull motor/tranny/tcase out of a sammy that he is parting. Then we cut it up and started cleaning up his garage and backyard.

Now I sit at work. Hopefully Ill get some time to work on the blazer this week. Maybe get it running.

Quite a few of us would love to see some detailed pics of your triangulated four-link. Does this work with our narrow frame and high horsepower applications?

Saturday I went and saw the in-laws new house on Lake Granbury.

Sunday went to my wifes work party, took a ride on the Tarantula train to the stockyards in Ft. Worth.

Replaced the turn signal inside the column.
Installed a felt washer on there to because the dealers around here say the hole for the signal lever is left open. The sun baked my old signal cam? inside the column and it cracked when I tried to signal for a right turn. So I added the felt washer on the inside of the column to block sunlight from getting in there and it looks better.
Also aligned the steering wheel while I had it off. It was a little off before.

Had to remove the exhaust from the headers back to replace some hardware.
The bolts at the header collector seized and wouldnt come out. 2 snapped off so I had to drill them out and install new hardware. Installed all grade 8 with lock washers and anti-seize. Replaced all the exhaust bolts from the collectors back and painted some of the welds. Working good so far. I hope the bolts dont come loose or bust off at the collectors again.

Replaced some of the clutch return springs and adjusted the pedal play.
Added a heavier spring, pedal is more stiff now, but feels much more solid.
Drove through the neighborhood sunday night after the truck was running again.
Lit the tires up a few times around the corners and it slid pretty good and sounded real strong, I need to get an audio clip.

Had to go to a Christmas party on saturday for my GF's work.
