Vacuum Modulater

What will the vacuum modulater cause the tranny to do, will it make it quit pulling completely. I have a TH350, just wondering. It was shifting fine then all the sudden it stopped pulling while I was driving, right before it messed it up it made a faint knocking or ticking noise from the back of the tranny. Any ideas?

gonna have to look elsewhere for the source of your trans problem. the modulator only assists in upshifts. you can test it by whether it holds vacuum, if it does'nt the diaphragm inside it is busted. sounds like you've had an internal failure, but i hope not. good luck.
