TPI Progress
Well, here is a couple of progress pics of my TPI harness install
The first picture is of what I got done today, the box on the bottom right is the new fuse box, and the relay center is installed above the brake booster. The second is of the wires I still gotta deal with, lol. I am thinking I might have some wire shortening to do yet... As far as the rest of the setup goes, I still need to break the cam in (just need a gasket for the timing chain cover, and possibly some new gears, we'll see how they look when I pull the cover off this week), I still need to get an aftermarket throttle cable, and I still need to install / plumb my EFI fuel tank onto my new 3/4 ton 4x4 frame. PS -- Does anyone know what that black gunk on my firewall is, and what I need to do to get it off? Also, where would I get some grommets for the wires going through the firewall? (holes above and to the left / directly below the stock fuse box)

Don't know exactly what that black goop is, but it seems to have been put there to seal the cab seams from moisture. Also don't know how yours has fared but on my '79 it's brittle enough that i can scrape it off.
If those grommets aren't been reproduced specifically for 73-87's, i would check your local boat/yacht parts supplier. You'll get the best quality grommets there but they'll be expensive.

Paint stripper will get it off, but....
You can also scrap it off, that is what I did: http://www.captkaoscustoms.com/images/sandfirewall.jpg
