Lightbulb Fake it till you Make it/ Throwing sparks.

I don't want my blazer to lay frame or rockers. But I do want to throw sparks, so I have an idea. I'm going to rig an air cylinder to a hinged metal plate so I can just air my bags out, and throw a switch, and drop the scraper. Anyone ever tried this? Maybe use a replacable insert on the scraper. Any thoughts.

If that doesn't work make some mounts and drag trailer hitch balls. Cheap and last quite a while and they're readily available.

Titanium makes a good insert. If you're going exotic, however, don't use magnesium... it burns... well!

I've seen the tow balls in action...pretty good spark for the buck.

Yeah that seems to be the best route if your close but not quite laying frame. Of course all the die hard "railers" think that's bunk, but who cares...

I have ECEs hiden hitch, not sure if I could fab something up to insert into it, and still stay behind licensce plate. But for now I don't have a rear bumper anyway so.... Let the balls hit the floor!

I want my truck to roll when aired out nothing touching the ground. I guess I could set the blocks up so they only drag when I put the rear all the way down and front all the way up.

Instead of using an air cylinder, you could use the cables for the ebrake to raise and lower the drag block (which ever you choose). Since you aren't really layin out, I would go with the trailer hitch since it's so cheap. But that's just me...

It's a good way to check for leaks in a rear mounted tank!

Nice point seeing as I have a blazer. But I'm going to get a custom tank with skid plate, or just a skid plate for now.

I guess you'd just have to outrun the flame!

The truck in this video clip has a rear tank and has never had any problems. Plus he dragged through his frame because he didnt want to get drag blocks.

...........and ya wonder why license plate fees are so high?

Just because you can drive on public streets doesn't give you the right to tear them up.

This does not in any way harm the streets , at most it tears up our cars and trucks. You cant mess up a flat surface onto another flat surface as well as you might think just bunch of young kids doing it with no sense , Im 33 and have been doing it awhile and i have a friend who is a public officer who does it too.

That is the question at hand. Danger! and Safty. I've dumped my bags before on a crowded street, and it scares the crap out of people. At first I thought it was pretty funny, than when I thought more about it, what if some old person with a bad heart had a heart attack? That would suck. Also another time I was driving down the road with my blazer all the way up and dumped it while there was a oncoming car. It startled the driver so much he swirved off the road almost. Granted these are the same type of people that will swirve off the road killing themselves or someone else to avoid hiting a cat/animal. Or the same people that souldn't be driving to begin with due to a medical condition. Lets face it the best safty feature you can have is a driver with a brain, and a little common sense.

While in Colorado Springs, I saw some guys who ran two pieces of re-bar or smooth rod under their cars. They hung down about 3-4 inches under the frame, and were about 4 feet long each...while the car was lifted, you could just barely see two rods hanging down, but when they aired out, they had two 4 foot pieces of metal dragging causing all kinds of sparks. Kinda ghetto in my opinion, but it worked....and worked well!! My $.02.

Yes , it is smart to have common sense when you are doing it. When we are doing it it is usually late at night making videos on open roads away from others.

You will never convince me that it doesn't hurt the road.
If both surfaces aren't damaged then you would never wear-out sandpaper either?
Don't most states have laws about scrub-line? for a reason?
