oh just when i think im making progress, life throws cliff a curve. My motor hasn't been running too hot, and its missing real bad. Talkin with my cousin and uncle (both mechanics) we are thinking the cam is rounded off on one of the lobes or w/e (i forget the terminology they use, i kknow its worn out pretty good). So on top of getting a new carb (im only 50 bucks away!!) and putting on the timing set i bought, its looking like i need a new cam and lifters. Me and my cousin will take off the valve covers at some point and investigate. I forsee an RV cam on there though...
And i still got radiator hoses and antifreeze waiting, since no point in flushing the radiator and changing fluids when i gotta take the crap out to do timing.
And as if this wasn't enough, something up front is whining bad, either the P/S or water pump. I'm betting P/S cause i've started teaching my sis to drive, and she tends to grind on that poor pump a bit. At least i hope that's what it is. I know what happens when the water pump goes out....
So it's looking like a busy year for me and my truck, poor ol thing. But i love her anyways. I tell everyone, i'm drivin that truck till one of us dies. And if it goes before me, i'll resesitate it with....that Mr Goodwrench 350 will be calling our name.

when it rains it pours ... sometimes the belt comes loose on the steering if ya make it grind could be just an adjustment

any chance the miss is something else? I mean, i'm thinking out there with the cam idea, maybe its something else? Its a sporadic but always there kinda miss. Listening to the exhuast it doesn't happen at regular intervals but its noticeable.
