Just wondering if there was any problem with tie rod interference with the wheel??

I've used Belltech 3" spindles (for '73-up) on our 67-72 trucks and on '73-up trucks. No tie rod issues,... but you will need to cut a little off the lower a-arm to clear the inside edge of the rim. I don't know about Western or DJM spindles.

I have had problems with the DJM spindle, you have to do some grinding on the spindle where the caliper mounts to keep the wheel from rubbing.

I asked the same question last year. Everyone who responded said that the 3" spindles would cause the wheel to hit the LCA unless some grinding was done on on the LCA. I believe one person said that he avoided the problem by running some combination of a narrower wheel, no weights on the inside of the wheel, and a wheel spacer.

I have the 2.5 inch Western Chassis spindles on my '86, and they never touch my ralleys or anything else.

EDIT: I did have to bend my brake lines a little bit to get them to clear the spindles. It was not too difficult, and has not caused any problems.

that's good to know. I was thinking of ordering spindles for my 76 and it has ralleys.

I have 3 inch Belltech spindles on my 77 Blazer. I had to run 7 inch rallys in the front. There was a bunch of interference with the control arms.

I'm no rookie, I've slammed a pile of trucks and trimmed my share of control arm lips, but this thing hit real bad with the 8 inch rally.

I had mine on 8" ralleys but only interfered with the caliper which was no prob grinding. 3" belltechs, 85 chev.

On my 78 I have a 4/6 drop with 15x8 rally wheels. The rallys rub on the a -arm on sharp turns. I have a 3/4 wheel spacer, removed the inner wheel weights, ground , ground and ground and ground some more of the lip off the a-arm. Bought smaller tires for the front to replace bigger tires with less then 3k . Maybe 7" dont rub but my 8" rub. Maybe I need to buy bigger rims and tires and add more tires to the collection of new tires in the barn that I will never use. For now I just dont make real sharp turns.
