where to buy tranny lines?? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

i know that i can purchase them from one of the vendors on the board, but i am on a tight time schedule and i was wondering if there are any places like schucks or napa that would have tranny cooling lines. or how hard do you think it would be to make my own.

Should be able to buy pre-flared tubing at NAPA of the correct diameter and length and a good tubing bender (not the spring type). Take an old line with you to compare diameter and fitting size. With a little patients you'll have a new set of lines. Wouldn't it be nice if they sold this stuff in stainless steel though?

I make all my own from parts store lines. After doing it for awhile, I can make a set at least as good as factory ones were.

You want 5/16 line.

You can borrow the tube bender and flaring tool from Autozone if there's one around. I had flexible lines made by NAPA, took 5 minutes and $86 precious dollars.
