What do you think?

My brother-in-law gave me his 79 pickup because he had no space and had to get rid of it asap. I told him that I would take it but I really had no interest in it at the time so I tried to sell it after putting a little work into it.
I had no luck selling it because I didn't really list it locally.
Anyway, to make a long story short I have this truck sitting in my driveway and I look at it every day. Just last week I said to myself, "What can I do to this thing to make it fun for me?" so I thought about it and I think that it would look really cool if I Chop the roof off to make it a permanent convertible, drop it 4" front and back, sand it down, prime it and do whatever bodywork it might need, paint it satin black and throw a tonneau cover on the bed.
What do you all think? Has anybody else on the board done this, chopping the roof specifically? How did it look? how did you go about doing it? Finally and most importantly does anyone have pics of this?
