o/t: toyota rear end

So I was driving to work on sunday morning when my rear end went out on me. Had it towed to the shop one of the previous owners works at. He said that I blew out my rear end. Anyone know were I can get a new rear diff.?

For what kind of toyota? Tacoma or mini truck? or what?

Faster than you.......... I dont think that a Chevy/GMC board is the correct place to be asking where to find these parts. I can think of 3 sites that I can PM ya that welcome those type of trucks.

I am curious how common this sort of problem is. Is it typically gear teeth on the ring and pinion? can you expect a certain mileage or time life before failure? I've had this problem in the past and wonder if I should take any steps to prevent it in the future?
