A true chevy head...

Instead of getting drunk and being naughty on new years i will be spending the night and wee hours of the morning doing the front end on my wifes 90 V2500 burb...gear box...balljoints..drag link..etc. Guess getting married and having kids make these projects appealing...lol.

Wife hasn't *****ed about me adding to my K5 collection....

1) Of course...1976 K5 Chalet (Rare) which i converted to tbi this last summer.

2) and allways number one in the stable...my 79...desert tan rock crawling beast...

3) soon to be...and thanx to you guys...a project 1979 K5 2wd...bringing the 89 front clip home this weekend...and spent $500 this week on a 73 K5 rolling chassis in arizona that is rust free...allready have a pair of 90-91 power mirrors squirreled away...see where this is going....lol.

Anyways i have a question...so mr reaper if you are reading this...hint...what mid 80's K series used the threaded tie rod bar with replaceable ends? I just heard to use a 85 one ton as the target vehicle...

My 84 K10 has that type of tie rod factory. I bought a new bar from GM for around $50.

Adam..unfortunately i am in grand junction.

Lots o work todo but it will just me in the garage and a little old school metal music and i'll have here done in no time. I think i could actually do it blind as i've done it a million times it seems. Got all the tools in the world and shop air.

Still think you should keep that 4x4 of yours...you haven't even came down to my neck of the woods and done moab yet...once you do moab i think you'll want to keep her...

Will be in Boulder next weekend...army reserve weekend...we are a detachment of A co 244th engineer combat battalion...leaving on the bus around 530pm friday night after work.
