i've had the msd box mounted there since i put the engine in back in april, no problems what so ever yet. and besides, if its raining bad enough to throw water all over the engine compartment, i wont be driving in it.
and the regulator wont leak. it -AN ports and is sealed with o-rings. i've checked and double checked, it isnt gonna leak and i got the regulator because edelbrock carbs dont like anymore than 5.5psi MAX. my fuel pump puts out between 6.5-8.5 at idle. i got it hoping it would help with the rich idle condition, it has a little bit, but its mostly helped with overall smoothness of the engine. it idles a lot steadier, runs smoother, and the throttle response is a lot chrisper |

Which carb are you running? Maybe this is why my 1406 is giving my trouble? Thanks Paul
