What did you get done (2005 twisted version)

Since it's the first day of the year, I though we would do a twisted version of "What did you get done". Instead of what you did, lets post what we are "going to do" for 2005. Keep it realistic, and simple....

My 77 Cheyenne-
Replace the motor with one that has some real power.
Replace the turbo 350 with a 700r4
Replace the stock stereo with some real tunes

My 82 Blazer-
Get the rolling chassis rolling again
Get an artist rendering of the finished truck
Have the bodywork finished
Find an interior shop

Get the bugs on my LT1 swap in my wagon finished

Get the bodywork on the truck finished, paint finished
Put my truck back together, and get some miles on it before the dead of winter again

Get a good start on my dads 56 project

wow, what an open-ended question. Assuming i get a job, i should do...
timing chain and gears, change radiator hoses, replace carb. IF i can get a couple relatives who are mechanics over, i might do the cam, but that's a big if...
get rockers welded in, find some bedsides, buy bedwood, eventualy get a paintjob.
Buy another set of 6x9s and an amp.
So basically, i should finish my truck this year.

2005 plans...

Get Yeller painted (or at least completely jammed) and re-assembled. Also, get it to where it can move under its own power in and out of the garage...or for a spin around the block.

I also plan to get married in May, and start a family shortly thereafter.

Finally, get my new windows installed on the house and re side it.

I'd like to get the drivers door dent fixed and maybe get some new cab bushings installed. Definately need some new mirrors and still waiting for my new rochester carb tuning book and Adam's(cochino12) new to me dash bezel. Anything else I can afford between now and a planned move to the Phoenix area as soon as the kids are out of school in the Spring. Whew!

I built my 12 bolt 4.11/Eaton last night and I'm getting ready to put it in with a Gearvendors OD. I have a fuel cell and front bags I'd like to get in before the warm weather. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I want a video of how the gear vendors unit really works when you get done. I seen the one on Trucks and it was cool but a little to generic for me. Does the button always have to be push to get and over/under drive gear or is it automatic? I never have been able to figure that part out yet.

I plan to frankenstine my three trucks together to make a nice K25, sell the second semi nice truck if I can, and scrap the third, its body is garbage, also get the EFI going

Hopefully have the K25 done for grad in June It'd be sweet to have it painted too, but I doubt I'll be able to afford a paint job by the time I've finished getting the 4x4 stuff all done up =/

i second that request thats one truck i can't wait to see finished!

as for me, i'll be putting the blazer up for sale this week. then i will be putting a 6 inch spring lift on the '80 and a nicer set of 15x10's with 37x12.50's and rebuilding the whole front end and replacing the steering box as well. that should all happen within the next month if i can sell the blazer quick enough. later this summer i will probly drop in a goodwrench 350 and put in a rebuilt th350. also will be searching for some 3/4 ton axles for it, but thats just if i find a really good deal on some. and i have a bunch of other plans that will start to pan out for it. as for the '84 it will probly be on the backburner for awhile while i play with the new toy, but i hope to 4/link coilover the rear and mini tub for some 29x15.5x15 mickeys out back, but i'll just have to see how funds are

I hope to pass inspection (just got a new cat and exhaust) and keep the truck running. As long as that happens I want to get some tires, get some bedsides and rockers, finish the bodywork, and get some paint and maybe do a motor swap next year.

Other than that, start having some kids.

Lets see, get the front bagged, rear step notch in, finish my rebuilding of my stereo, shave the gate with a blazer band, overall a totally doable list.

what we're gonna do, huh?

finish the trail rig.

fix the 95 Grand Am, i've been told it needs a timing chain, but it still cranks and makes 150psi+/- on all 4 cylinders. i'm thinking ignotion related.

fix the 96 Grand Am, it needs a crank kit, and possibly a rod.

sell both Grand Ams, and pay off my credit card.

do a little work to my 91, use it as trade on a ECSB K2500 to pull the trail rig around.

our vechicles- nothin

our house- very little

our shop- fix remainder of roof, make joists stronger, insulate and drywall storage room, put shelves in storage room, put tools in storage room/cleanup workshop, get website up, install better drainage system, get water pipeing(sp?) fixed in bathroom wall, install 220V jack in storage room, move air compressor to storage room, put lighting in storage room, install air lines in shop, and many other thing ($$ permitting)

after all, you cant work on your truck untill you can get a dry watertight shop...something we're far from having [when a whole 32x16 ft area doesn't have much of a roof]

i would like to
1.have new doors installed-i have them already.
2.locate a new bed and install it.
3.rebuild the front suspension and soon do the brakes-truck sat for 3 years prior to getting in running in may 2004-im sure they need some minor work
3.primer the whole truck-after the doors at least.
4.install kill switch, stereo, solid glass rear window.
5.get the motor bugs worked out and tuned-it needs some things such as a new ps pump,a few little odds and ends items here and there then should be ready to rock.

i also plan to take care of some non truck related things this year.

For the winter: 1-Build and install a 383 or 396 in my 70 Chevelle
2-Install new rear bumper on the Chevelle

This spring when I take out the Chevelle to drive I plan on ripping apart my daily driver (89K5) fixing the rust, repainting it, installing new carpet and a new dash pad.

Lot easier saying what ur gonna do than actually doing it though...My goal was to have a engine picked(383 or 396) and have it in the machine shop before Christmas...haven't had the time....
