Question ALT. BRACKET HELP (pic maybe)

Well now that Ive installed the power steering its on to the job of replacing a bad intake gasket! I used the rubber end pieces against my better judgement and sure enough it blew out!!! Anyway I need some help, my 67 has the oringinal 283 installed, my alt is mounted high on the right side facing the engine just above the power steering pump, before I installed the headers the old alt bracket mounted to the end of the exhaust manifold when I reassembled things I made or maybe cobbled a bracket to hold the alt. Does anybody know where I can get a bracket for this application or maybe have a pic of what will work here. I have searched and searched but cant find a good pic to use. I would be greatfull for any help!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again for all the power steering help last week!!!!!!!!!! Todd

Do your heads have tapped bolt holes in the end of them?

If so, just use a 69-72 alternator bracket.

I don't believe the 67 283 engines had tapped holes in the head. Summit has an aftermarket bracket for headers or someone on the parts board may have a good used one.

Here's a set up from Old Air . They do AC units but maybe you can use something from them. I had to move my alternator over to the right when I put the air in. Brackets worked fine except I had to cut a small piece from the bottom to allow for the headers.
