FM radio prices

I was Floored at the price of this radio! Is the going rate for these? I was wondering if anyone has had they're stock AM converted to FM or XM satellite. Costs less than these original FM deals. Pros/Cons? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

Am/fm

One recently sold on E-bay for $113.00. As recent as December. I don't know if it was a truck or van. The seller did not have a picture in the index area but did have pics in the listing. I think a lot of people overlooked it.

I will stick with my mini-ipod. Only music I wish to hear and 0 commercials! It holds 50 cds of songs, 1000. It even reads e-books to you so learn while you work, it works for me.

I am buying an 8 track from ebay for less than 100 bucks. Wont have to cut up the dash and it will have am fm radio to go along with my nostalgic tapes. It wont have 1000 watts or anything crazy like that.Just the sounds that came in cars in the 70's.

The original truck am/fm is not all that rare. Even "refreshed" they play crappy as the tuner is mechanical with limited draw. I guess if you want originallity, fine as long as you put a nice current technology CD player somewhere so you can actually pull in sounds out in the boonies from more then 3 am channels!

That radio on ebay is so fat, I wonder if it has tubes. Something inside needs that huge heatsink.

That 8 track player I got on e bay was still unmolested in the box with the plastic still sealed around it . Still had the warranty registration card and service manual from 1976 .I dont think I'll send it in for registration.I've got a couple hundred old 8 tracks that still sound good. Call me an old man with no sense if you must, When I first tryed an 8 track tape it brought back some good memories of girls and drag races in the 70's.

I used to love 8 tracks players. As a kid I used to push the track select button as quickly as possible to see how fast I could make the track select light move!.lol
