I need a Powerplant (WTB)

Well, my old inline and three-speed manual are about to pass on....and I need to find a suitable replacement for each.
Does anyone have an extra engine and/or tranny that are ready to install? (For sale, I mean) I am not looking for anything that I will have to get built (because I have to drive my truck every day and need to have as little down time as possible.)

If I was able to pick my stuff out of a line-up, I'd pick a good 4-bolt 350 and an overdrive tranny, but I will be willing to adjust my thinking if the right deal comes along (but it's gotta' be small block).

Also, (and this is usually the catch that screws it up for me) if possible, I would prefer not to drive across the country to pick the stuff up but I know a travel day is in the future somewhere, so....I have the tank on FULL and ready to go.

i have 2 engines and 2 trannys sitting here and could get them to memphis tn or so. how much are you wanting to spend? one engine i have was sold and we had a shipping problem and the other is probably too much money. both tranny`s are fresh with zero miles, one is a th350 and the other is a 700r4, let me know.

Actually, I need to try and keep it under $1800 (for both parts) if possible. I know it may be a stretch, but at this very second I can't dump too much into it.

$1800 good god, i wouldn`t try to rob you like that!!! check this out. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33615 as you can see i had it sold for $775 and the guy sent his money paypal and shipping fell through. i sent him his money back and he was a really good guy to deal with. i will part with this engine for $600, and it is a very strong engine. i have both fresh brand new tranny`s with all of the best stuff. the 700r has been totally set up for carb engine. it has corvette servos, an adjustable t.v. cable, and a kick down kit from 700r4.com, it is a tci kit w/carb bracket. i will part with the trans for $800 with a 2100-2400 converter (also brand new), there is $980 in this trans set up, and another $150 in the converter. the th350 trans is $400 obo and is also new w/shift kit. let me know, i`m heading to luv2xclr8`s house in the next couple of weeks to deliver some parts.

if you want, i`ve got a complete serpentine system including alternator from a mid 90`s small block. i`ll let it and a good starter/alternator/and all brackets go for another $100, all you would need is a water pump. as you can tell, i`ve got a lot of stuff i need gone, i`m running out of space.

yeah, i noticed you had an i6 in there and figured you`d need brackets and all. i`ve actually got everything you need, hei+wires, headers (2 diff. sets), radiator, and what ever else you might need for the conversion, let me know if you need pic/prices or ???, i`m sure we could figure something out, eric.

I've got a complete, stock 350 with a TH350 from a '72 pickup--motor completely rebuilt by me using all TRW parts 19,000 miles ago-(bored .030" over) Always had the best of care until truck was wrecked. Has Quadrajet, starter--the whole works--$900. Let me know if you want pics.

Mine is swb. I may be leaning towards the 700R4. I like the idea of the overdrive mileage. Did you get my PM this morning?

Here are the engine pics you requested. This is a sweet running engine-all stock except .030 overbore--it's a shame the truck was wrecked. About all shown included but the A/C and alternator brackets, front pulleys--I need them. Transmission has a new-(not rebuilt) converter with less than 2000 miles on it. $900 takes all. Located near Winston Salem, NC
