When it was on the road last year, I paid $280 every 6 months for basic liability on my 67 through state farm. I was told some companies won't allow "full" coverage on vehicles over a certain age.

Classic auto insurance from an outfit like Hagerty is pretty reasonable. They insure your ride for an agreed value but they limit your mileage & use. I couldn't live with limited miles, so I had the truck appraised ($14,000.00! Surprised the Hell out of me!) and insured it with MetLife for a stated value for about $700.00 (full coverage) a year here in Phoenix. That means it starts out worth that much and depreciates from there. I'm going to get it appraised every other year or when I do something major (like the Old Air unit I just slapped on! ) to upgrade it. Least this way if it gets cubed, I can buy another one from one of you guys and start over.

170 a year for full coverage and agreed value through Haggerty.

Couldn't be happier.

Some guys worry about their limitations, but they never asked me for an odometer reading anywhere, so I'm not sure how they calculate any mileage limits.

I use this company:http://www.classiccarinsurance.com/
I have full coverage for $119 per year. Must be garaged and only drive 3000 miles per year. They also have other mileage plans and I believe you must be at least 26 years old.

I'm with Farm Bureau and with the '71 (daily driver) appraised at $10,000, a deductable of 500, good student discount, and breaking into the 21-25 age bracket, I pay about $750 a year. With my '68 GMC, we were able to put it under the farm and because it also has a flatbed its like $20 a month for liablilty only. They are the local company that my family has done all of the insurance with for many years, and have always been really good to us.

I was told I would have to have my license for ten years before I can put classic car insurance on my "SIX EIGHT" Camaro, they told me it would be $188.00 a year thats with it being appraised at $12,000. I have six months till 26 yrs old. ....Don't asked who I talked to I found this insurance company on google, I just started calling all classic car insurances that I could find.......

Hey guys, I have liability on my 72' and I pay about $30 a month. They said I cant have full coverage unless it was appraised. Then after appraisal, would be limited to milage. It would have to classify under classic.

I pay $253 a year for full coverage, 3K mile limitation with it being garaged (agreed value of $8500) on my 91 GMC(I have it registered/inspected as a NJ Collector Vehicle)through Classic Car Insurance. I pay $780 a year for basic on my daily driver 92 Caprice wagon through AIG.

>>>>>>>>I can't find anyone to insure my 71' Suburban that writes policies in NJ(the gestapo state). They say it's not considered a collector vehicle, they won't insure station wagons(titled/registered as a wagon) and so on & so forth. My question is, why isn't it considered a collector vehicle when the p/u's are? Also, they don't insure wagons, huh? What if it was a 55/6/7 NOMAD? Anyone else have this problem???

I Was Going 2 Use Hagerty, Till I Read Their Fine Print, They Were
By Far The Cheapest I Checked Into, Probably Will Use Grundy If
I Ever Get "GQ" Finished, Right Now I Have "GQ" Under My Allstate
Plan And Have It Insured For 15k & Pay $12.50 A Year, Yes A Year,
However This Is A Storage Type Policy, I Can't Drive It, But It Is
Covered For Vandalism, Theft, Fire, Water, & Tornado Damage.
