#1. I want to powder coat teh pulleys/brackes of my serpentine belt assemble. Is it ok to do the pulleys? I didn't know if they would add to much weight causing them to not spin evenly.

#2 I am in Iowa and can't find of list of powder coaters online. I used the Thomas directory and could find anything. Does any have a list of powder coaters?

#3 About how much should this cost? I think there is about 4 or five pulleys and the two main brackets.

Wes, there is a local establishment that does Powder Coating that may be able to help you. It is an establishment that has several entities such as Race Tech that builds drag racers and the frames for such vehicles, Chem Strip that does stripping for all sorts of sizes and shapes, and then there is Advanced Powder Coating that is into what you are looking to get done. The metal must be down to the metal. If the metal has pits, then you can clean those areas up with All Metal and sand it down smooth. I got my rims for 59 Impala done for $20.00 a rim, and Herb McCandless put them in his shop blaster and got the rims cleaned up down to the metal before sending them to get power coating. (If you don't know Herb McCandless I won't go into that, part of the Sox & Martin Race Team) Contact Joey at Advanced Powder Coating and tell him that Don Dodson sent ya. their phone number is 336-538-4941 of 336-538-4942 or 336-524-0001. They do good work.

Have you checked your local yellow pages? Most small cities and up (50k) have powder coaters since powder coating can be done on a small scale now.

i had all of my brackets and a highrise aluminum BB intake done for 70 bucks. Looks pretty sweet.
