Looks great - what tire size will you be going with? How is getting in it right now?

yukon- im planning on getting some 38x13 swamper tsl's. i havent even gotten into it yet. soon as i bolted on the tires i stepped back smiled and went home. im still tired. its no fun working all by yourself with those heavy spring packs and moving that eaton axle around.

I hear you on working alone - I have done most everything on my truck, except the engine buildup and body work/paint, alone. Sometimes an extra pair of hands would really come in handy!

Yeah, the working alone sucks. Every now and then I can get one of my sons to operate the jack for me. As they get older they become more handy. I try not to rely on other people too much as it can actually slow you down.

jim, your right about other people slowing you down. and when im alone i can think clearly
the rear driveshaft is actually long enough, but i will be going to a local drivetrain place and have some made. im gonna try and get everythign as beefy as possible. some of my friends are talking me into putting my money into my motor since its been sitting for a long time and smokes a little. i may do this and get the tires later on. |

Looks great! Can't wait to see it with the new wheel/tire combo.
I'm planning on putting my stereo in the console like you did. How did you mount it? Where did you get the "housing" it is mounted in? Is that a CD player? Are you having any issues with it being mounted vertically? I was told that CD players can't sit vertically like that.

now thats a truck thats what i'm talking about.
great looking truck, can't wait to see it with your tires on it.what width wheel are you going with? i lifted a 75 blazer one time that i owned a few yrs ago.used a aframe, come along,to work on lifting it. it's hard to do things by your self but in the long run it's worth the effort.again great looking truck. |
