69 4x4 brake drums
Where can a guy find the 2x12 front drums for the closed knuckle front 4x4 axle, 3/4 ton?? I have had qoutes of 150 dollars per 1 drum!!!! There has got to be a better deal somewhere.
What options are out there?? Is there a disc conversion with out swapping the entire axle assy???? Thank you, Dave |

The only disc conversion would be to purchase a 71 or newer axle. The closed knuckles never came with discs.
Erl is your 68 a long step?

Do you happen to remember the Napa number. All they show is 60 to 63 models and they are about 115.00 dollars. However I could bore out to 12.160 according to what is cast on a Century drum on one side. The other is Budd brand and no numbers other than part that I can find. I am in Medford Oregon area.
Thanks, Dave |

I remember now that NAPA could not find these for me either. But, I used my GMC Master Parts Book to find the GM number. We crossed this to a NAPA number.
Front brake drum NAPA 640-1020 $77 Rear brake drum NAPA 640-1202 $99 Let us kow if these are still available. Erl
