ok i got the tunnel on and running set the floats and it ran AWSOME! revs like a g-damn street bike... but then i cut the hole in the shape i wanted it with the plasma cutter (its at my school) so i got a rough cut. im gong to sharpen the points and the step the hood down in the cut area like a stairs kinda thig for like 4 inches all the way around. then i have to add bracing sao i can actually use it as a hood(flimsy) but otherwise i think its awsome i got all the kids at my high school talking (every body i know thinks im crazy) thell me what you think good or bad trust me you wont hurt mty feelings lol

I always like the hood cut close to the tunnel ram but I'll have to see the end product. The tunnel ram looks awesome, you get her running yet?

Thats pretty sweet. I would have made the hole in the hood a little smaller, but that design is awesome. I would have used that same design and just kept it a little tighter to the ram. Very cool and original... I've never seen a hood cut like that anyways.

Weld 1/4 inch rod around the edge of the opening. It's about 10 bucks a 20 foot section and it's easy to bend to shape.

It will give it a thicker, finished edge, keep water from sheeting into the hole, and stiffen the hood a bunch.

Quick question, your signiture says 3/4 ton...is this the same truck? If so, are those 8 lug rims, or did you slip a 1/2 ton suspention underneath?

how can you tell they are not 8 luggers? looks like full lug covers, could be anything under there.

yea the wheels are 8 lug there welds typhoons with the conehead caps 17x8f 17x10r

randy yeah it runs runs really good took it around the parking lot and it has twice the throttle responce and if you rev it up it comes up to 7000 fast real fast with the mechaanical seccondays. im real happy with it so far! -kyle ps ill post progress pics...any sugestions are welcome i will consider them

in my opinion, i think the tunnel ram setup(and the overall truck) is sweet but the hood is not my style maybe the design would be ok just smaller not like the whole hood, but i do have to give it to ya for being different

I'm glad you're happy with it, I knew it would work out well with your combination.

I don't care for the hood at all, I like them cut tight to the Ram and carbs. BUT,,, Something could be done with it along the lines of Plexiglass in the opening....
Then again, work a little with it, follow through with the scheme, and call it the BAT TRUCK !!

i just wanted to be different IMHO i just think some stuff in cars is overplayed thats why i lowered a 3/4 ton,a truck, a longbed. so i kinda want something that nobody else has,i relize im only 17 and not here but in my town i get NO recognition but ill get it lookin ''cool''. i still have a few tricks up my sleve on this truck before i call it ''done'' and i belive that it will be the truck ive been pictureing for the lasr 3 years ive had the truck!

Ahhh, the tunnel ram. My favorite intake... Lookin good. Hey, if you end up not liking the hood, it unbolts.... Definitely looks different, and arse kickin' too!

I remember when I put the tunnel ram on the 383 in my old lifted 88' K2500. Wiend T/R with 2 450CFM holleys, Mr. Gasket "Hilborn" style scoop & a sweet direct port nitrous setup(only jetted for 150 shot). Boy if that wasn't a bag full of sh!tz n giggles! Blistered the 35x12.50x15 BFG's all the way thru 3rd... Sold it to a local guy who put it on a V8 S10 running 9.80 1/4's....

Me likey the tunnels and the look of the scoop above the line. I think I would take some polished stainless and fill in the "crown" close to the carbs.

i was thinkin about doing the same setup but it my motor is nearly stock.
Any opinions also what brand of intake was that?
Again sweet truck i wouldnt change a thing i like being different as well.
