69 short step for sale in Michigan

Typical story, don't want to sell but ya know. I started this project because I like projects. I'm real good at starting them but very bad at finishing them. The ones that become finished I get bored with and sell to start another. Thats kinda where I'm at on this truck. 1969 Chevy short step. Rebuilt 75 350 w/RV cam, flat tops and alum. intake w/Holley. Transmission is a 88 700R4 rebuilt by local shop and has the diesel Hyd lock-up. Also from PTCustoms is the 12 bolt 373 posi out back, it was rebuilt and has richmond gears. Power steering. New sway bar, New springs Has 2/4 drop springs w/another 2" blocks on the back, w/all new lowered shocks. new ball joints, replaced trailing arms w/good used. 5 lug disc brakes (from 71/72 pickup) up front and drums out back all new brake lines/hoses, pads shoes and new power booster w/new master & porp. valve. It has the ralley wheels 15x8 up front and 15x10 out back w/fairly new tires. New fuel guage and sender. All stock instruments work along w/autogage tach and trio guage set. 88 to 98 type bench seat. AT column shift w/new signal switch. Body is how I got it. Has replacement panels welded in and the body guy wasn't afraid of bondo. Truck looks nice but It could look better. Truck has 5k since rebuild. I drove it to kentucky and then to Virginia and back home in a weekend last fall. I pulled a trailer (hidden 1 1/4 hitch) and best milage was 16mpg. Looking to get $5300.00 for it. I might possibly trade for a 88 to 93 swb driver. I have had this truck stored in my garage this winter and had it out last week when the weather hit 57 up here (woo hoo) but weather is back to cold. I check the board often and also you can PM me w/# if interested. also check Yahoo photos http://tinyurl.com/3s3pm John

Any interest in a possible trade for a 93 GMC Suburban 4X4? The Suburban has all been redone too. New transmission, rearend, front transaxle, radiator, cooling system, alternator, starter, new 16" mud & snow tires, new front and rear brakes, new fuel pump, new heater core. Overall very nice and everything works. Also it is loaded. Has front and rear heat & AC (very few had rear heat), All heavy duty systems, transmission & oil cooler, HD brake package, tow package, 3rd back seat. It will go just about anywhere, especially in the climate your in! (I've been to Midland, Michigan) If you have any interest let me know, our vehicles are worth about the same. In fact where you are the Suburban is worth more than it is here in St. Louis. I know it's not a pickup, but its a great 4X4.

It sounds good but I have a problem w/my driveway. I have a utility pole at the end by the street and an SWB truck is the best bet for me. I have friends who have hit the pole w/thier cars and a sub or extended cab is hard to manuver around it. If I don't get any interest I may get back to you as I need a driver now not one that sits in the garage.

Thanks John

I will send them as soon as it quites raining. I mean we have had 6" or rain in the last three days. 3" of it today. Maybe tomorrow or Friday I can get some pictures for you. The interior is nice, no rips or tears. The exterior color is black and grey and the interior grey cloth. It has a tailgate instead of the dual back doors. Spare tire is also a new mud and snow tire. Overhead console. Also I replaced the exhaust from cat back two months ago. Put a 40 series Flowmaster on it. Sounds nice. Also has a new thermostat. It just passed Federal emmissions with no problems (where your at you don't have to deal with it!) I will get pictures to you in the next day or so.
