gas guage question
I have the two gas tanks with the in cab switch. My question is latley one of my tanks has been reading way past full then if I play with the switch it will go back to normal. Is this the switch in the cab going bad?

It sounds like by your description that the switch is going out or it may have a loose wire. You might try having someone hit the switch while you listen to see if the fuel tank selector solenoid is making the noise as soon as the switch is hit if its delayed then try another switch.

Thinking maybe it the ground on the tank that is causing the guage to read high.

Mine does the same thing. The gauge would read way past full. I took the gauge out to check it,but can't really tell if it bad or not. What should the gauge do with nothing hooked up? I moved the needle by hand and it just stays in the same place when power is re-applied. It is a lot of work to remove the tank, so I want to make sure it is not the gauge that is bad.

They are right. You have a bad ground on that side you flip to.

on the tank right any idea were they ground them at?
