power antenna question
have a 72 C10 i would like to put a power antenna on it. Has anyone on here done this if so what did you use for antenna and was there a lot of modifcations you had to do to make it fit.

Most of the time I use Cadillac antennas. Specifically the early 80s model Coupe or Sedan DeVille. Mainly bacause of availability. These are a front fender mount and have fairly small motor/case.
There are many universal kits though. You need a radio that has the wire to trigger it or you have to run a seperate switch for it. You need to make some kind of strap to the lower mounting point to keep it steady. Other than that it's no biggie. |
