Homemade tracking bar?
Put new bushings in my track bar and an old sleeve didn't come out so took it to a shop, problem solved. The guy says did you make that track bar? I told him no but it does look homemade. Heres a description: The eyes are the right size and have about two inches of 1/2 inch bar stock before it run inside the main bar but the main bar is about an inch thick with holes drilled in it and spot welded to the smaller bar running inside it.It's got some really crappy welds on it.
It fits and seems to work but just wondering if thats how they are supposed to be

sounds like a previous owner bent the original bar (not that hard to do) so cut out the bent section and did what you now have. You may not be centered between the frame rails now! The stock bar is 1 piece bar stock welded to the eyelets. Check out an after market adjustable bar (CPP, ECE, Wes, GMCPaul, etc.) for a heavy duty replacement.

The bed doesn't seem crooked, but I have noticed that it sticks out a bit on the drivers side behind the cab. about 3/4 of an inch. How would I know if the whole bed isn't centered? I think previous owner took it off once cause there are no bed pads under it.

This is assuming you have a coil spring rear as leaves self center the rear wheels...
didn't mean that the bed would be off set. The wheels/axle could be left or right of center line of the frame rails. Measure from brake drum to same spot on frame on both sides to see whether both sides measure the same ------------------ 72 swb cheyenne super 350/350 69 cst20 BB longhorn
