Burb rear door question
This is my first Burb so I'm not sure if this is normal. It has barn doors on it and in order to open them I have to have the key in the cylinder and turned before it will open. Is this normal? I would hope that if I hit the power door locks that I could open the doors without using the key

I have an 89 sub that does this also. My sub has about 240k miles on it now. When I bought it with about 80k miles on it the electric lock solenoid would unlock the ban doors. Now it doesn't and I think it is due to evrything in the door being worn out. I havn't investigated a fix yet. Too many other projects going on.

There is a problem..
I have had a few 85 to 91 Burbs and they have all had the same problem with the barn doors. I have even checked some in the junk yards and they too have the same problem. Don't know what it is , but I'm planning to take the door of the one I'm drivin now apart this spring and see what the problem is. If anyone knows what is going wrong please let us know, its frustrating as hell loading stuff (especially tires and rims) from the side door all the time.

try tearing it apart as the little Angle piece on the lock cylinder itself gets bent and it makes the auto lock not work. I had to do it on both bodies.
