leaf spring question
Can anyone tell me if the rear springs off of a 75 SWB chevy will fit to the front of a 77 SWB chevy, I want to raise it up to clear 40's but ain't got aloto $$. I was going to do blocks on all four corners but someone said blocks are bad on front axle. What if you "weld" them in place? Thanks, conoverbandit.

You will need at least a 6 inch lift to clear your tires. Also if you go any higher than a 4 inch lift you have to redo your drive lines, get longer brake lines, and get a special steering arm. You would have to stuff alot of springs all the way around to clear. I would just save up and buy a lift. Try to find a used one. Also, I had blocks in the front of my 87 and you loose all your stability. The truck would just wander around the road. I put add a leafs in now.
