Big Block headers, which ones???

I have Super comps on my small block, and have worked great, no leaking problems in 4 years. The question is, Im putting a big block in my Jimmy and Im wondering what everyone is using. Is there any clearancing problems, have you got shorties??? Thanks in advance Darren

Hey new to this but here goes. I put a 454 in my 71 p/u its lowered so I wanted shorties but noone mkaes em for a big block so i search through the catalogs and found shorties for a mid seventies monte carlo big block car they're close on the frame on the passenger side but no touch and yoy have to bend the brake lines on the drivers but other than that fit as though they were made for it. Hooker Super Comps!!!!! No question....Get them Jet-Hot coated and they will look schweet!!!

I am not a Hedman guy myself. Always had bad (aka leaky) luck with them.

I have the same as Bill (thanks Bill ) they fit GREAT. They went right in (from the bottom) and have good clearance. I Like'em

Sanderson! I've used just about every brand you can think of and IMO theres nothing better BUT Hooker a very nice header also.

In the interest of full disclosure, I should say that I only like Sanderson's cast iron headers. I'm not racing, just towing and 4 wheeling, so I don't need the extra oomph tube headers have at high rpms and I want a cool engine compartment, relatively speaking. From what I read here, Hooker probably has better tube headers. I wouldn't know personally.
