Drum to Disc Swap
I am looking for the necessary parts to convert my 1970 K20 Front Drums to Disc Brakes. Does anyone have the 71 or newer parts necessary and possibly some technical help? I still could use some drums if there are any out there.
-Thanks |

You'll spend just as much on the drums than swapping to disc. just need the steering knuckle and out w/ disc backing plates and hoses for a 71. of course rotors and the disc. I bought 3/4 ton disc for $22 each and a loaded caliper pair for $55 from autozone. Ball joints will be needed also. check your local trading post for GM front axles for sell, should be able to pick one up for under $150. if it has the same ratio as your rear swap the whole axle, if not swap the outers only. Need a dana 44 though no 10 bolt stuff, unless you swap the whole axle.
