Update On The 406!! ( Look Inside )

I poated this last week

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php3?t=134764

I ended up buying this engine ( well actually my step son bought it ) The guy was a real D!ck to deal with. He didn't have a clue to what he was doing or what he had. He lied to me about the engine on the phone. Told me it was complete intake to oil pan. The oil pan was on it, timming cover on it. But the heads and intake was off of it. The heads are totally disasembled. But all the parts are there to put them together. This engine was still at the machine shop that he used to put it together. If I would not have been able to talk to the engine builder himself. I would not have bought this engine. I ended up paying $ 1800.00 for it. My step son done sold the roller rockers and valve covers that came with it for $ 150.00. It is a very nice engine. Dart pro 1 heads, brand new. Every thing is jam up with this engine. The guy used good parts on it. But for some reason, the roller rockers he bought were totally junk. They are Cat brand. You can feel the roughness in them. He is going to put Crane gold race roller rockers on them.
Any how this turned out to be a really good deal. He can not wait to repalce that 305 with it.

if the Dart Pro 1's are indeed brand new, there's 80% of the cost of the engine along...I had the Dart Pro 1 's on my 406...loved them!
