Aftermarket tailights in a Fleetside.

What has anyone come up with for ideas in different tailights in a fleetside bed?

What about something that wraps around to the outside edge...

I like the stock tailights but they seem to be incomplete when there's no Chrome around them. AND since I've shaved the Mirrors, door handles and side chrome I don't want the tailight chrome.
I'm not real fond of a completely Smoothed rear, where the tailights are in a RollPan, so I'd like to do something in the location where they are from the factory.

I'm looking at the same options for my 70. I saw one that had removed the clear backup lights, cut the divider between the tailight and backup lights out, and created a one piece red lens for the entire distance. Effectively looked stock until you looked twice.

You may want to check out some pics from ghetocrewzer, he grafted tail lights out of an avalanche. It looke dpretty cool if you are doing a custom. Also a couple of weeks ago there were pics floating around of someone putting older caddy tails in, the longer skinny ones. Those also looked cool.
Hope this helps,

I don't have any pics, but I have seen several trucks with frenched cadillac lights. Looked pretty cool. Because of the body "fold" near the side of the bed at the back, I'm not sure if a wrap around light would look right?

Ghetto's burb

Hope he doesn't mind me using his pic....

It's kinda' hard to tell with the black primer, but in person, it really does fit the lines of the back end and sides well.

The Caddy's look great on the Burb !!

I'd like to see the Fleet Painted, It would make a lot of difference.

That may be the way I end up going...
