67 CHEVY FLEETSIDE SHORTBED FOR SALE-(soon)

DISCLAIMER: I'm very seriously considering selling my pickup.

My wife and I have run into some Major financial situation.
I'm pretty sure I'll be selling it, but it'll be 4-8 weeks.
The timing is tricky due to the "other" vehicle I'm trying to buy.

I've updated my website to reflect the progress I've put into it.

It can be seen at: www.rogerbrenda.20m.com/index.html

Some paticulars are below. If you have any more questions or need more pictures, I can e-mail them to you directly.

Below is a list of what has been done to the Truck so far.
It is stored inside my garage right now and driven about twice a week.

New ZZ383/425 Horsepower Engine (4k Miles)
3 Core Radiator w/Electric Fan
Custom Built Turbo 400 (1K miles)
New Rear End Gears (3:08)
Power Steering
Front/Rear Sway Bars
New Shocks front/Rear
New Exhaust
Interior is Complete (Re-Done in Retro Zilitone)
New stereo (including 2 speakers in the doors and 2 custom panel speakers w/Alpine AM/FM/CD
Custom White faced gauges w/Green LED lighting.
New Carpet Kit (with Chevy Bow Tie Sill Plates)
Body is straight and sprayed with Black Epoxy Primer
No A/C
No Power Bakes

I've seen ALOT of people advertise that "It's ready for paint" and I have to laugh , but this one is THEE closest I've seen that IS "ready for paint".

Its still got 6-lugs all the way around on manual Drum Brakes so you might want to change those out.

This IS my daily driver.

Like I said, I LOVE this truck but my family has fallen on hard times here recently and I have to re-prioritize.

Roger

Nice truck...but you posted it the wrong forum. Anything for sale goes in the 67-72 Parts board. Also you must list a price....it's in the rules, dude. Oh and welcome to our board.

Bluebeard,
Thanks for the welcom.
I was informed that this For Sale Ad was in the wrong catagory, so it has been moved to "1967-73 Parts For ale" a price has also been added.
The next vehicle will not be a project. It will be a "turnkey truck"

No problem Alex.
I'm just a little stressed after doing SO MUCH with my 67 and now having to turn around and sell it.
Tends to make one edgy.
My apoligies as this is someplace I want to feel at home!

Apology not necessary, but accepted. This is a great site and you are truly welcome here. I feel your pain in having to sell a treasure like that truck...due to $ crap. Is there any other way you can fix the $ issue without selling the truck? At any rate, things always seem to work themselves out. I wish you the best of luck.

Its not looking that good.

What I WOULD like to know is what some other members on the board would pay for a Truck like mine.
I never thought I'd have to sell it, but I know how much I've put into it.
Based on the description, what do you think?

Do a search on White Faced Gauges on E-Bay.
That is where I got mine.
The guys handle was something like "Lowtoy" or sumthin' like that.
I got them about a year ago.
The guy buys em and actually spray paints the gauges and does the font.
Not a cheap job by any means.
I think it cost me like $150.00

Let me know how you make out!

Thanks to everyone for responding.
I'll update my profile.
The Truck is located in Northern Califonia about 70 miles Northeast of San Francisco.
Feel free to pass on the info to anyone you think might be interested.

6K is low.
The engine alone cost me $5600.00, not to mention everything else that the Truck has had done to it:
Custom Tranny
Shocks
Sway Bars
Electric fan
Complete Interior w/Sound system,carpet,door sills,panel speakers,new pedals
I need to sell it, but I can't take it in the shorts either.
To date this Truck has approx $10.5 into it.

so do you only drive two days a week? in the top you say that it is stored in your garage and moves about twice a week..and then you state that it IS you daily driver...

just curious

not to bash you or nothing but you will never get out of it what you put in...none of us on this board can do that.. i could maybe sell my truck right now as is for about half of what i have put in it..thats just the way it is with any car..

good luck

Rick

That truck is dead sexy. Did anyone else notice the bumpers? Look at the bolt heads. That is one hell of a detail. I may steal that idea, only paint the bolt heads and leave bumper chrome.

Great looking truck. Wish I had the funds to get one like that, but I'll just have to keep working at mine for now! I noticed the vacuum advance isn't hooked up, it that a performance trick or something?

Rick
very true, i had to lose my a$$ on my 66 chevy2 so i could get a new house. i had about 8k invested and got back about 4k. i seen a truck awhile back on ebay go for $5500 and i know he had more into it. it had a brand new big block, air ride, and it was mini tubbed. i`d have bought it if i had the money, but you know how that goes. your truck is definetally an awesome ride, no doubt about that.

OK GANG, Thanks for all your input.
I know I'll never get OUT what I put INTO it and if it weren't for having to file the big "B", I WOULDN'T be selling it.
Between my wife and I we've restored/showed 19 cars in the past 17 years.
We have a love affair with the automobile.
Here's an example, I bought a 2001 Independence Custom motorcycle.
Paid $25K including a custom paint job. Then put ANOTHER 5K into it, so now were up to 30K.
Only rode it on the weekends and put roughly 4000 miles on it.
Just sold it in November to get out from under the monthly payment.
After attempting to sell it starting at 22K, I finally sold it for 15K and STILL had to put 2K of my OWN money with that, just to pay off the loan!

As to "70 - 402" question, it IS my "Daily Driver" and it is stored in the garage when not in use.
I do only drive it twice a week because I have NO JOB to drive to, so its only an occasional trip to the store.
As for the asking price, it is what the "market will bear".It may not be worth the asking price to someone on this list, but it MAY B to someone down the street. Not a bit of rust,California car.
The price IS negotiable.
Starting at 11K OBO (see that's "Or Best Offer").

I know that you might be stressed out about being strapped for money, but getting an attitude with potential buyers is not the way to get them buy what you have..I really am sorry that you have money problems right now but maybe you should try to sell other smaller stuff on here and then put your truck up for sale on a publication that someone that might have that kindof money would want to buy your truck.... The internet is a very powerfull selling tool but you have to know how to use it to your advantage. not for trying force people to buy your stuff.. and if you are having to file the big "B" then just let nature take its course.. you can't do anything about it. Sometimes you just have to let go..You have restored alot of cars in your 19 years of doing this so you will have the opportunity to do it again.. besides it is just a material possesion.. your family is wayyy more important.. would you want $6000 or nothing at all....

sorry for the rant ya'll
