Oil pressure line

Has anyone replaced the metal line and fittings running from the motor to the oil pressure gauge with a flexible line? If so what did you use? I never have liked that and I am not quite ready to step up to a new gauge panel and gauges.

Hi Mark....pm back atchya. I was thinking fuel line or small braided line with AN type fittings. But, that may not be available and I may just have to use a metal line until I go with a new gauge setup with non-mechanical gauges.

Pretty much all aftermarket guages come with the white plastic line. I've used it a lot without problems.

My local hose shop was able to sell me all the fittings from the block to the guage with copper tubing like original for 6 bucks though, if you want new stock type stuff.

Here's a pic. I used -3 an braided stainless with a bulkhead through the firewall. Check out Summit. They will have everything you need. That's where I got all of the parts I used. Look at the pic close ( sorry, lots of other crap in the way.). You can see where it comes out of the block and goes to the bulkhead fitting. The other bulkhead fitting goes to the vacuum gauge. It has not leaked yet.
