Hey Joey. Are the axles old, or were they rebuilt. If they were rebuilt, then do you have the receipts? Its everything i'd like, minus the front axle. But that wont take up much room.

I bought the truck with this set up it minus the crossover, the guy said it had been rebuilt, but I have no proof. I recently broke the front axle. I have yet to tear it down, so I don't know if it is just the passenger side u-joint or the the short axle and stub axle and u-joint. I am buying another 10 bolt for the parts and that axle will be included for who ever buy to have. Both the front and rear are open carriers so I don't think they could have been run that hard. I ran them once, broke the axle and now am upgrading to duece in a half and military surplus tires. Thinking 46", would love 53" but have heard alot of carnage from the 53".

I am interested in the crossover steering. What all do you have for that and what are you asking? Does your 2-wheel drive steering box fit a '72 and how new/tight is it?

The corssover has to be used on a d44 or a corp 10 with d44 knuckles. I used d44 knuckles on my 10 bolt. That is why I want to sell it with axles because the knuckles have to machined drilled and tapped to allow the passenger side linkage. This is already done to my ten bolt and would hate to ruin the new balljoints to remove those knuckles........The crossover is a blackbird custom set up (http://www.blackbirdscustomtrucks.com/index12.html) including both knuckles from a d44, steering arm, draglink, drop pitman arm, and 2wd steering box. You have to use the 2wd steering box because it is a side to side sweep compared to a front to back sweep. The box was robbed from my 69 c10 swb project. This whole setup was on my 85 swb. The box mounts the same as a 4wd box, same 4 bolt pattern. I have seen no play in the box at all. I only drove on this setup for my 2 weeks before deciding to go 2 1/2ton axles with a hydro steering. my turning radius with crossover is twice as tight as my old setup.

i'd be intrested in the cross over, i don't need the knuckles so they could stay with the axle. just the steering box, drag link and passenger steering arm. if your intrested in just selling those, let me know.

Make me an offer, just taking up room. I need the money cause I need to finish the truck, buy a house, and am seriously thinking about getting hitched. Anyways, I don't own a computer and this is my g/f, I check my email as often as I can, but its better to call me at 314-226-6420. No serious offer refused......
