Question '66-'72 chevy ebrake system - what is this part called?

'66 chevy ebrake system - what is this part called?

image is a scan of a figure from '66 chevy truck shop manual. Seems this system was used from '66-'72.

I have put 3 brownish looking arrows pointing up at the part in question.

Can anyone tell me what this part is called?

Is this part in one piece or multiple pieces, etc?

Thank you.

I think they are actually 2 pieces, the rod and the part that cradles the cable.
