Speedo
Can the speedo be rolled back to 0? i'm rebuilding the drivetrain and purchased a used speedo better than mine (as mine doesn't work) and was curious how i could put it back to 0 without damaging anything internally.

Take the old bad one apart & see how it works, then practice on it. I rolled the one in my dad's '70 Fairlane back a couple of dozen miles like that a few years ago. Biggest problem was getting it out & back in, but you got that part down already.

That would be illegal regardless of the mileage on the drivetrain. The odometer is for the mileage on the vehicle itself. If you replace the odometer with a new one, you are obligated to note the mileage on the old one, to note if it had rolled over once or more, and to note that the odometer has been replaced. Maryland is the fourth state I've had my Chevy registered in and they've all had the same legal requirement for titling.

not in Texas. The mileage is marked as N/A on older vehicles. I have no idea how many times this one's been rolled over. Title doesn't have mileage nor do youhave to note it when applying for a new title on an older vehicle.
