67-71 heat riser f/s

I have a new heat riser for sale for a 67-71 chevy truck with the ramhorn manifolds. I purchased it a few months ago and then decided to change the way I had originally planned to do the exhaust. I am asking $25 plus shipping. I also have a new gasket that goes between the heat riser and the manifold that I will include. Still in new box....

does this allow warm air to stay trapped near the head to prevent valve warpage? when I got my exhaust done they installed one of these, but what baffled me was they only put it on one side??? thanks

Mike.

Gyva, it forces some of the hot exhaust to travel from one side of the engine through the intake manifold and under the carb to the other side and out. I helps the carb warm up and it is also the heat that warms up the choke spring on a divorced choke.
